Running with absolutely no wind (0.0m/s), Shericka Jackson leaped into athletic history after she ran 21.55s to win the Women’s 200 metres title at the Jamaica National trials on Sunday night.
Her time ranks her as the third fastest woman in history in the 200-metres, and the second fatest Jamaican overall. Her time is also the new world lead for this year.
Reigning Olympic 200-metre champion, Elaine Thompson-Herah was second in 22.05s, a season’s best.
Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce was third in 22.14s, also a season’s best.
