“50 garbage trucks are currently on their way to Jamaica,” tweeted Holness on Monday morning.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, funds had to be diverted from purchasing 100 trucks. Now we are coming back on track with 50 of the 100 trucks to arrive this month,” he stated.

The news has been welcomed by several members of the political directorate and citizens.

“Great News,” tweeted Member of Parliament for Central Manchester, Rhoda Moy Crawford.

“1. 2. 3. 4. 5. -> Portland?” asked Portland Eastern Member of Parliament (MP), Ann-Marie Vaz.

“Good News @AndrewHolnessJM,” stated Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Matthew Samuda.

“Please send at least 20 of these to Manchester,” pleaded a Twitter user.
