A number of alleged gunmen were nabbed by the police after they reportedly robbed a woman of her motor vehicle in the Corporate Area on Wednesday morning.
Preliminary accounts suggest that the woman and her child were traveling in a Honda Fit motorcar in the Three Miles area a short while ago, when they were stopped by gunmen who demanded that they exit the vehicle.
The men sped off, but the police where able to quickly intercept them. They are now in police custody and will be questioned.
Traffic delays are expected along the Mandela Highway in the vicinity of the Six Miles bridge due to the incident.
