The media fraternity in Jamaica is mourning the death of veteran journalist and court reporter Barbara Gayle who was found dead at her home in Caymanas Estate in Portmore, St Catherine on Tuesday morning.
Gayle was found her throat slashed, according to multiple sources.
The police have confirmed that her motor car was also stolen.
Gayle served as a court reporter at the Jamaica Gleaner for decades. She was recently honoured by the Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) for contributing over 40 years to the local media fraternity.
