Popular Trelawny selector, DJ Lasco, was shot dead during a gun attack at his home in Freeman’s Town, Trelawny on Saturday.
His girlfriend was shot and injured during the incident.
Information is that the sound system selector, whose real name is Lauren Portella, and his female lover arrived at their home shortly after 10:00 pm.
They were just about to enter their home when a gunman opened gunfire, hitting them. He then fled the area on foot.
The prompter died at spot, while his girlfriend was admitted at hospital. Her condition remains unknown at this time.
The police are investigating the incident.
