As the countdown begins for Vybz Kartel’s highly anticipated Freedom Street Concert on New Year’s Eve, the police are advising that several traffic changes and safety protocols will be instituted for patrons attending the event at the National Stadium.

The police say no offensive weapons will be allowed inside the venue.

They say firearms, explosives, knives, glass bottles, large umbrellas and scissors, or any other item that can be used to cause serious harm or injury, will not be permitted.

According to the police, no parking of motor vehicles will be allowed at the National Stadium.

Further, a one-way system will be strictly enforced.

Motorists travelling along Mountain View Avenue and Arthur Wint Drive may experience disruptions in normal traffic flow before, during, and after the event.

Traffic personnel will be deployed along the roadways and members of the public are being advised to follow their instructions.

Aside from Kartel being the main performer, Dancehall Queen Spice, Popcaan, Skillibeng, Tommy Lee Sparta, Chronic Law, Shawn Storm, Lisa Hyper, and Kartel’s sons Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi, will be among the artistes gracing the stage.
