Reggae Sumfest promoters, Downsound Entertainment and its boss, Joe Bogdanovich, are apologing to Bounty Killer for the “insulting and demeaning” performance of female dancehall artiste Ishawna.
Ishawna, while deejaying lines from her controversial hit single about oral sex, ‘Equal Rights’, had gyrated on the face of an image of the dancehall icon whose also known to his fans as the War Lord.
Bounty Killer, whose real name is Rodney Pryce, has since responded to Ishawna’s performance by describing her as a ‘witch’ and a mattress, among other things.
According to Bogdanovich, certain images and words used by Ishawna were “insulting and demeaning”, adding that Sumfest “does not condone performances that insult or denigrate other artistes or individuals.”
