Reports suggest that Popcaan and Chronic Law had difficulties entering the venue of the event at the National Stadium in Kingston.

When Kartel got wind of the situation, he urged security personnel to let the deejays inside the venue.

Once they arrived on stage, Popcaan hurled insults at Burrell.

“Skatta s#@k yuh mada yute! If a neva Kartel mi guy mi yard… Wah mek unuh have mi and Chronic Law outta door fi three hours? A wah mek unuh a hold down the native dem? Don’t do that to win  yute!” said an upset Popcaan.

Chronic Law also responded to the situation he faced upon entering the venue, even disrespecting another event promoter Joe Bogdanovich.

“Wi deh yasso fi Vybz Kartel, mi a talk straight. Mi nuh deh ya suh fi nuh white boy or nuh rasta boy. Mi a bad man mi nuh like people… Skatta behave, yuh hear? Joe? Behave yuh b——-t self. Wi deh yah fi Vybz Kartel; wi nuh deh ya fi unuh, p—y!” Chronic Law said.

Burrell took to his Instagram page on Wednesday morning to address the comments made by the artistes, especially about the rude comments made against his mother.

“I… mother… has been in the hospital, and a man nah go tek it up pon him head fi come tell me to s$%k mi mada inna a public space (with) thousands of people, and expect it ago get thrown under the rug because mi is a promoter and me have a lot more to lose than dem,” Burrell explained.

The dancehall promoter said he had to act professionally and not allow the show to be brought into disrepute when the comments were made.

“A man diss me publicly, me drag him under the stage and disrespect him back privately. And me a tell yuh supm, me cud a murder yuh under dah stage deh. Unuh fi watch unuh mouth man,” Burrell said.

The promoter made it clear that he does not disrespect anyone, but he will not stand for it.
