Dancehall artiste Silk Boss is now on the police’s radar after he was named as a person of interest by the St Catherine South Police.
The entertainer, whose given name is Rohan Reid, is being asked to report to the Portmore Criminal Investigations Branch by midday on Monday.
Police did not state the reason behind their interest in Silk Boss, who made headlines ever since the circulation of videos of an alleged assault and robbery against him hit social media last week.
Shortly after he gave several interviews and confirmed that he was beaten by his own friends and robbed of $1.4 million in cash that he would be using purchase a motor car.
Last Friday, the St Catherine South Police urged Reid to make contact with them after their investigators had seen the videos of his beating and subsequent interviews given by Silk Boss.
They encouraged him to visit the police station located on Braeton Parkway in Portmore, St Catherine.
