A pregnant woman is the latest road crash victim in Jamaica.
Torian Elliot, 22, of Ritches, Clarendon, died as a result of injuries she sustained in a crash on the Winston Jones Highway near Mandeville on Sunday night.
Police reports are that about 7:45 pm, Elliot was a passenger in a Toyota Crown motorcar, which was travelling towards Mandeville, when the vehicle was hit by another car.
The impact from the collision caused the Toyota Crown to crash into an embankment.
The other vehicle did not stop, the police said.
Elliot and two other men travelling in the crashed vehicle, were taken to hospital, where she died while being treated by medical personnel.
The other two men are reportedly admitted in serious but stable condition.
