The People’s National Party (PNP) says its former President and Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller is doing well in hospital after being admitted for “non-emergency care”.
The 77-year-old former prime minister was rushed to a Corporate Area hospital on Thursday night for an undisclosed medical complaint.
“Mrs Simpson Miller is doing well and is being supported by a capable medical team and her loved ones,” said a statement from the PNP.
“On behalf of her family, the PNP expresses sincere gratitude for your prayers and well wishes as we pray for good health and a speedy recovery for our dear Sister P,” it concluded.
