The Hanover police are looking at whether Wednesday’s killing of a man and a three-year-old boy in Cascade was a reprisal attack.

The deceased are 27-year-old bee farmer, Tavaris Stevens, and Comoy Williams, both of a Cascade address in the parish.

Another man was shot and wounded during the incident.

Preliminary reports are that a group of persons were standing at a shop in Hill Lobby Cascade about 7:00 pm, when men travelling in a Toyota Axio motor car drove up and opened gunfire at them.

When the shooting subsided, little Comoy, Williams and another man were found with bullet wounds.

The injured persons were assisted to hospital, where Williams was pronounced dead. Young Comoy later died while undergoing treatment.

The police are examining whether the gun attack is linked to another shooting incident in the area last month. The victim remains hospitalised.

According to police sources, Wednesday’s attack occurred near a hangout spot where the alleged shooter in the March attack reportedly frequents.

But the suspect allegedly left the area prior to Wednesday’s shooting incident.
