The St Catherine South Police interrupted the activities of criminals stealing hundreds of feet of copper wires/cables from telecommunications companies in division overnight.
A social media post by the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) informed the public of the development.
It is not clear if anyone was arrested.
The police, acting on information, went to location on Passage Fort Drive in Portmore, where they made the discovery about 4:00 am Saturday.
Investigations are ongoing.
