Pilot arrested after ganja bust at NMIA

A pilot from the Turks and Caicos Islands was on Sunday arrested following a drug bust at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) in Kingston.

Reliable sources informed that the pilot was detained after he was allegedly held in possession of 17 pounds of ganja.

The pilot, the police allege, was preparing to fly to Turks and Caicos Islands when the ganja was found in his luggage.

Investigation continues into the seizure.
