A motive is yet to be identified in the murder of a member of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) at his home in Central Village, St Catherine on Tuesday morning.
Dead is 26-year-old Kemar Dennis.
Preliminary reports are that Dennis was sleeping inside his home located in Zambia in Central Village, when armed thugs gained entry to the premises about 3:00 am.
Dennis was shot several times.
Despite the best efforts of residents in assisting the JDF soldier to hospital, he was pronounced dead there.
Two Sundays ago, four men were shot dead in the Tawes Pen in Spanish Town.
Cops said that incident was gang-related.
