Monkeypox patient’s death under probe by Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has launched a probe into the death of a man who recently tested positive for Monkeypox.

Health officials are trying to determine whether his death is as a result of the virus.

The ministry is also reporting five new monkeypox cases, increasing the island-wide tally to 12.

The cases were reported between September 7 and 12.

There are, however, eight active cases. This is after one positive patient recovered, bringing the total recoveries to three.
