Miss Universe 2014 fourth-runner up, Jamaica’s Kaci Fennell, has announced that that she was robbed by two men on motorcycles while entering a popular supermarket.
In a tweet on Wednesday, Fennell (now married as Shirley) said the men grabbed her backpack.
She tried to retrieve her belonging, but had no luck.
The fashion icon and model said that in the process of blocking her cards, she got notifications about purchases at Fashion Nova.
“I just wanted to make Birria Tacos for dinner, get the stuff and go home…why I had to get a yenk out shoulder instead?” she questioned in a follow-up tweet.
Attempts to get a comment from the Jamaica Constabulary Force on the matter have so far not been successful.
Earlier this month, Police Commissioner Antony Anderson revealed that the JCF would be rolling out additional resources over the next few weeks to boost police responsiveness to robberies across several police divisions.
As at June 30, robberies across Jamaica increased by seven per cent, and break-ins by four per cent.
Manchester is among several parishes that saw a massive increase in robberies this year.
