Police detectives in St Ann have charged a mason following reports that he allegedly raped a bar operator in Dunns River Hills, St Ann earlier this month.
Huggart Moncrief, 34, of Windsor Road, St Ann, has been charged with rape and grievous sexual assault.
Allegations are that about 10:00 pm on Thursday, November 17, the woman closed her establishment and Moncrief, who was there for hours, requested transport assistance from her.
Further reports are once the car was in motion, Moncrief allegedly pulled up the handbrake and dragged the woman from the vehicle.
He then reportedly proceeded to rape and sexually assault the woman.
After a report was made to the police, Moncrief was arrested.
He was charged after being pointed out on an identification parade.
