Detectives have arrested one of the suspects involved in Wednesday morning’s attempted robbery near a bus park on Market Street in Old Harbour, St Catherine, which resulted in the death of one man and the injuring of another.
The deceased has not been identified.
It was reported that about 8:30 am, armed men attempted to rob a man near the bus park.
The man fled his attackers, but the hoodlums opened gunfire, hitting two men who were standing nearby.
They were assisted to the hospital, where the unidentified man was pronounced dead.
A subsequent operation in Old Harbour led to one of the suspected gunmen being arrested.
The police are searching for the others.
