The police are probing Friday night’s drive-by shooting on Greenwich Park Road in Kingston, during which seven people were shot.
A man, identified as 37 year-old Robert Ewart, otherwise called ‘Berry’, died as a result of gun shot wounds he received during the attack.
Ewart was a market clerk of Beeston Street in Kingston.
It was reported Ewart was among a group of people along Greenwich Park Road about 6:15 pm, when a Toyota Axio motor car drove up and the occupants opened gunfire.
Seven persons were later found suffering from gunshot wounds.
The individuals were rushed to hospital, where Ewart was pronounced dead.
Detectives have not disclosed a motive for the attack.
