Man found dead at St Ann guest house; murder ‘likely’
Rushane Clarke

A male bartender was possibly killed and his body found inside his room at a guest house in Runaway Bay, St Ann on Sunday.

Dead is 30-year-old Rushane Andrew Clarke, a bartender of Spicy Hill district in Trelawny.

Jam Street Journal was reliable informed that Clarke left work at the popular Sharkies Seafood Restaurant and Bar, also in Runaway Bay, on Friday.

He failed to turn up at work on Saturday.

Checks were made the following day on Clarke, who was reportedly staying at Salem Resort in the small seaside town.

His nude body was found lying face down on his bed inside his room.

The police were alerted and checks revealed that Clarke’s right hand was allegedly bound behind him. His head was also wrapped in a piece of cloth.

However, there were no injuries to his body.

Police sources told Jam Street Journal that a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death but, at this stage, it appears “foul play is highly possible”.

Added the source: “Based on certain materials retrieved from the scene, forensic tests could also help us as we probe the matter.”

Amid it all, the police say a motive for the killing is not yet known.
