A 29-year-old man is now on the run after he allegedly sexually assaulted his five-year-old sister and his two-year-old niece in Westmoreland.
The man was apparently held by his older brother over the weekend, but he managed to escape.
Jam Street Journal understands that several police operations are underway to locate the perpetrator of the sex crimes against the minors.
The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) is also involved in the investigations.
One of the children – the five-year-old girl – remains hospitalised for treatment from the ordeal.
On the weekend, a video emerged on social media of the mother of the five-year-old girl detailing the traumatic experience her daughter faced.
According to the distressed woman, the incident occurred last Wednesday.
“Water gone three day and mi get up five o’clock inna the morning a wash. When mi look in her pants mi see slime,” the woman recounted.
She said her daughter later told her that her brother had touched her.
The woman told social media users that when she confronted her son, he denied the allegations.
The incident was, however, reported to CISOCA, the mother said, adding that the child allegedly had an infection arising from the sexual assault.
CISOCA is carrying out their investigations to determine whether the children will be placed in state care.
