Serving a life sentence can take its toll on anyone, but dancehall heavyweight Vybz Kartel continues to “wul it” behind prison bars.
The Ramping Shop deejay on Tuesday posted a photograph of himself donning sunglasses, a coloured Ralph Lauren polo shirt, ripped skinny jeans, and a green Desert Clarks shoes.
He captioned the photo: “Bearing justice, but me a gwaan wul it.”
Kartel, real name Adidja Palmer, is currently incarcerated at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in Kingston.
He is awaiting the outcome of an appeal of his murder conviction in relation to the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.
While there is still no decision from the UK’s Privy Council relative to that matter, Kartel continues to release new music from behind those prison walls and appears to have restarted skin bleaching, as well.
On Monday, the entertainer posted a selfie to announce his aptly titled EP, The Appellant.
Jamaican law enforcement officials have faced criticisms over the apparent situation where Kartel continues to record new material while incarcerated without the permission of prison authorities.
