Operations at the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) are still being impacted by strike action taken by its drivers.
In a statement on its Twitter page on Thursday, JUTC said its drivers have been protesting since yesterday afternoon to express their dissatisfaction with the new compensation system.
As a result, teams from the JUTC Finance Department are meeting with drivers to resolve the issue.
The JUTC continues to urge commuters to make alternative arrangements for transportation until normality is restored.
“We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause,” the bus company said.
“Please monitor our social media pages as we provide updates on this developing situation,” it urged persons.
