A Jamaican-born promoter was reportedly killed in his native Caribbean island on the weekend.
The deceased has been identified only by his Instagram name, Wayne Thompson, or @worl.great. He was also known by the alias ‘World Order’.
Details into his murder are sketchy at this time, but it is understood he was shot and killed between Friday night and Saturday morning.
Thompson was associated with Top Jankro clothing brand. He was also a popular figure in the entertainment scene in Toronto, Canada.
According to his Instagram profile, Thompson was promoting the ‘Milk & Honey Fashionably Black & White Gala’ to be staged at Sabina Park in Kingston on Sunday.
