A Jamaican man who claims he dropped out of university and is now dating an older woman, says he feels unhappy with his present situation.
In a message to the Jam Street Journal team, the young man, who requested that his identification be withheld, is asking readers for guidance on how to proceed with his life.

Dear Jam Street,
Mi a try get mi life together as a young man but things nah really work out. I am a university drop out. I was studying business, but lack a money mek mi dripup out, and mi mind wasn’t really into studying because a mi family situation. I am not a dunce or anything like that, but I just wasn’t focused at the time.
I’m in my early 20s and was unemployed when I met a big woman. She did like me and we end up talk often. To be honest, mi nuh know if it was desperation or what, but mi end up in relationship with her although mi feelings never really deep with this woman. She in her 40s by the way and mi move in wit her and she have a young young son.
Long story short is, she help me get a little work and mi a mek some money now zeen. But di ting is mi nah feel the same way fi her since mi a work. She kinda realise it and a demand say mi fi change up and mi fi change up mi habits and di least mi can do is f*%* her right like mi use to.
But the thing is that mi really want go back a school and be fully independent. Mi feel obligated to her now and regret mi get involve with her cause the same feelings mi use to have fi her or mi should say the inspiration fi sex her nuh there nuh more.
U think mi ungrateful? Mi really want talk to her about the situation, but another thing is that she very ignorant and bossy. So it a play on mi mind right now. Mi nuh happy and sooner or later she a go realize fully and di community weh she live in she have nuff links and mi kinda just inna a sticky situation.
