A man, identified only as ‘Fya’, was shot dead near the Charles Gordon Market in Montego Bay, St James on Friday morning.
Police reports are that about 7:00 a.m., the man was standing in an area called River Side when he got into an altercation with two other men.
One of the men pulled a firearm, opening gunfire, hitting the now-deceased multiple times.
The police were alerted and investigators processed the scene.
Police sources indicated that the deceased was involved in multiple robberies in the market district area of Montego Bay, but was elusive from law enforcement officials.
