A People’s National Party (PNP) supporter seemingly threatened a journalist from the RJR/Gleaner group with rape at the party’s headquarters on Monday night.

“We can rape yuh enuh,” said the unknown male voice.

The journalists were trying to get a comment from PNP officials regarding the tensions in South East St Catherine relative to the selection of Dr Alfred Dawes, which led to subsequent protests outside the party headquarters where a meeting was being held.

Listen a portion of the clip of the incident as carried by Nationwide News Network, whose male journalist and the other reporter were both told by the Deputy General Secretary Dexroy Martin told them to leave the compound as they were dressed in green colours.
