The National Works Agency (NWA) is reporting that the Craig Mill Bridge No.2 in Buff Bay, Portland, collapsed on Saturday night.
The bridge was previously closed for sometime after the structure was deemed unsafe.
According to a post on X.com from the NWA, the bridge has officially been closed, as it collapsed under the weight of a loaded truck.
“The structure was rendered unsafe. Physical barriers were placed at the location and a detour created for use. The barriers had been routinely removed by residents,” the NWA stated.
The agency also shared photographs of the collapsed structure.
