Jamaican duo, Brick and Lace, has excited the local dancehall scene with a reported announcement that they will be making a return to the genre.

This comes after they were awarded at the annual Queens of Reggae Island Honorary Ceremony and Ball at the Courtleigh Auditorium in New Kingston a few weeks ago.

One member of the duo in an interview with popular publication, DancehallMag said they’re not averse to collaborating with other artistes, as well.

The duo, consisting of sisters Nyanda and Nailah Thorbourne, are known for their smash hit ‘Love is Wicked’ in 2007.

An album of the same name, also released the same year in Europe and Africa but shelved in the United States, had other hits like ‘Never Never’ and ‘Take Me Back’.

Years later, the ‘Love is Wicked’ album would be released in the US, well after the group disbanded in 2013.

The group’s popularity surged through the power of video streaming app TikTok in which the ‘Love is Wicked’ hook went viral last year.
