A high level probe is underway after reputed St Catherine gangster, Rudolph ‘Boxer’ Shaw fled custody at the Kingston Central lockup on Thursday night.
He is facing two murder charges after being deported from Cayman Islands in July.
Sources revealed that Shaw went for a shower, but, instead, cut himself out of the lockup.
He is accused of murdering 59-year-old Wilfred O’Connor and Clinton Davis, 60, both of St John’s Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine.
It is alleged that Shaw shot and killed O’Connor on September 29, 2021. Davis reportedly witnessed the incident and was allegedly fatally shot by Shaw along St John’s Road in May 2022.
Shaw was captured in the Cayman Islands on July 8, and deported to Jamaica to face prosecution.
He has been in custody since that time.
