Hours into the launch of Operation Relentless II, a joint operation between CTOC, the narcotics division and US law enforcement partners has resulted in the seizure of cocaine valued at over US$25 million at the Ian Fleming Airport in St Mary.
Over 1,100 pounds of cocaine were seized on Friday night during the operation.
Information is that about 7:00 pm, officers from the Narcotics Division, with support from C-TOC and US law enforcement agencies, executed an operation at the airport.
The cocaine was subsequently discovered.
Cops believe a major transnational criminal organisation is responsible for the drugs.
