Constable Noel Maitland, the boyfriend charged with the murder of social media influencer, Donna-Lee Donaldson, is to make is highly anticipated court appearance on Friday.
The accused lawman was expected to fae the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, but the court officials said the matter was never to be heard then.
After months of clamouring for his arrest by friends and family members of Donaldson, Maitland was finally arrested on July 27.
He was formally charged for murder on August 2, the same day the Police High Command made the disclosure that Donaldson was believed to have been murdered.
To date, her body has not been located.
On Thursday, family members staged a peaceful protest in the vicinity of the court to demand the accused to tell the family of the whereabouts of Donaldson’s body, among other things.
Donaldson has been missing since Tuesday, July 12. She was reported missing to the police a day later.
She was last seen leaving her home with her policeman boyfriend on Monday night. He claimed that after argument with Donaldson, she left Tuesday morning, and he has not seen her since.
But Deputy Commissioner in charge of crime, Fitz Bailey, in speaking at press conference earlier this month, said he suspects that Donaldson was killed sometime after 4:00 pm on Tuesday, July 12.
He said at the time that he hoped the body would be found, adding that the police are not yet able to say why she was killed.
