A St Ann man has been charged with several offences after he was among three men who robbed and shot his brother in Hinds Town, Ocho Rios, St Ann earlier this month.
Audley Hinds, a 47-year-old man also of Hinds Town, has been charged with wounding with intent, illegal possession if firearm, and illegal possession of ammunition.
Reports from the St Ann police arr that on Wednesday, June 1, at about 10:00 pm, the victim was walking along the roadway when he was pounced upon by three gunmen who opened fire, hitting him in the face.
During the melee, he recognised one of the men as his brother.
The injured man was transported to the hospital, where was admitted in stable condition.
A question and answer session was conducted with Hinds on Friday, June 24.
He was subsequently charged.
