There is now heavy police presence in downtown Kingston after gunmen reportedly shot two men employed to a construction site on Tuesday afternoon.
Reports reaching Jam Street Journal is that about one of the men was pronounced dead at hospital, while the other later succumbed.
There are also unconfirmed reports of a third man being injured.
Onlookers claimed that heavy gunfire erupted on lower Church Street in the vicinity of the Jamaica Conference Centre.
Frightened shoppers and workers reportedly fled the area on hearing the barrage of gunshots.
