Another decomposed body has been found in St Catherine, bringing to six the number of bodies found in the crime-infested parish since the start of the week.
In the latest incident on Saturday morning, the body was found in bushes near the Caymanas entrance to the North-South Highway in St Catherine.
The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained.
The discovery was made by a passersby who raised an alarm, and the police were alerted.
The scene was processed, and the body was removed to the morgue.
St Catherine has been under a state of emergency since Friday, a direct response by the Government to the wave of murders and shootings in the parish.
Since Tuesday, six bodies have been discovered, to include the bullet-riddled bodies of two men wrapped in tarpaulin and found Toyota Probox in Portmore on Wednesday.
The police are trying to determine whether the incidents were as a result of the 12 active gang conflicts in St Catherine.
