Dancehall Cassanova Dexta Daps is trending on Twitter, and not for the right reasons.

Over the weekend the singer made headlines after he was seen dancing with a woman in a very short dress. In a video of the erotic performance, the woman kept preventing the dress from lifting up as the artiste continued his raunchy dance moves with her.

Now, it is not clear where or how the rumours started, but persons have claimed that the woman was actually a man or a tyranny!

A video was seemingly manipulated to propel that narrative.

Well those rumours were false and misleading, as the woman seen in the video dancing with the artiste has since come forward and has proven that she is no man.

The woman also allegedly showed her child, dispelling the nasty rumours which emerged and gathered steam on Monday.

Still, some social media users are not buying it and appear to be running with the rumours.

“Personally, I am content with Dexta Daps’ downfall,” wrote one man.

“This will teach him a lesson,” shared another.

As the revelations came forth that the rumours were fake, several persons retracted their earlier comments by deleting their tweets or comments across social media platforms which belittled the artiste.

“Let’s shut down the Dexta f%%$. She is all woman, she is also a Mother. They have since spoken on FT where she left nothing to the imagination to show she is fully female,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Di way di man dem gleeful at the premise Dexta could mek an error is is sad and funny. Like him really hurt unuh heart. Moreso imagine unu a mistake me fi man? I’d tell unu some BAD TINGS,” tweeted one woman.

“These Dexta comments, yo ppl will secretly hate u and be waiting for your down fall enuh,” wrote one man.

Dexta Daps is considered a ‘ladies man’ and has even called a sex symbol when it comes to his overly seductive music and erotic performances on stage with female fans.

But the latter has outraged several men over the years. Recently several men in Guyana warned Daps to avoid coming to the country to “mess with their Guyanese women”.

Born Louis Grandisoon, Dexta Daps is known for hits including Breaking News, Seven Eleven and Shabba Madda Pot.
