Popular Dancehall producer Linval Thompson, otherwise called ‘Shab Don’, has been arrested after being identified as a person of interest in a triple murder in Rose Heights, St James last month.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), Thompson was taken into police custody on Friday by members of the Joint Anti-Gang Task Force (JAGTF).
“He was arrested during a targeted operation in the St Catherine South division on Friday, June 3 following preliminary investigations into several incidents,” said the JCF in a statement.
It added: “Thompson, who has been identified as a person of interest in the recent triple murder and wounding with intent on May 25 in Rose Heights, St James, is expected to be questioned in the coming days in the presence of his attorney.”

Thompson was freed this year of charges of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, but was on bail for a charge of breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act.
