A Tiktok video of what appears to be a Jamaican primary schoolboy cursing a teacher inside a classroom has been evoking mixed reactions across social media.
In the nearly three minute video, the teacher appears to send the child outside the classroom for his misbehaviour.
The boy attempts to re-enter the room, but the teacher pushes him out once more.
“Miss mi anuh dawg miss. I’m a child. Don’t treat me like that,” the boy protests as he forces his way into the classroom.
“Yuh must have manners,” the teacher tells him.
“Mi have manners more than yuh,” quipped the student who quickly takes his seat and proceeds to sharpen his pencil.
Throughout the ordeal, the teacher and teh student go back and forth, with students recording the incident and laughing at the incident.
The schoolboy, during his tirade, nastily describes the teacher by using inappropriate language, such as “dog sh%$#”, and “dog inna v-string”.
Despite the teacher insisting that the boy should be quiet, he continues to insult the her.
“Dats why nuh man nuh want yuh,” he says as he spins through a book.
At one point, the frustrated teacher could be heard saying, “Feel like mi wud a kill him enuh.”
The boy is finally escorted from a classroom by what appears to be another teacher who said the child’s disturbance was audible from her class.
Some social media users have reacted in disgust to the behaviour of the child.
“This is what teachers have to face and more. They (some students) are so rude and you can’t beat dem! Ministry (of Education) ago tell yuh children have rights, but make a did me him a call dog,” said one woman.
“The teacher was at her wits end. I would have slapped that boy silly if it was me,” said another woman.
“This is why psychological treatment is needed in schools or some form of therapy and assessment. A child like this should not be in regular school,” said one man.
The Ministry of Education and Youth is yet to react to the disturbing video.
