Mechanic charged with sexual assault of 14-year-old girl

A 28-year-old mechanic from Phoenix Park Village, Portmore, St Catherine, is scheduled to appear in court on May 10 to face multiple charges related to the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

According to reports, Brandon Brisett allegedly offered the teenager a ride home on April 27, but instead took her to his house and assaulted her at gunpoint. The two were acquainted, having met a year prior.

When police arrived at Phoenix Park Village to arrest Brisett, they were reportedly barred from entering the complex. The police have since issued a warning to residents of gated communities, reminding them not to obstruct law enforcement officers in the performance of their duties.

Brisett was eventually apprehended, and his Toyota Mark X was seized. A lead sheet was also found in his possession.

The accused will face charges related to the sexual assault and other related offences.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
