An elderly man and a six-year-old boy were among three persons who were shot and injured by gunmen during an attack on their home in Hopewell district in Sandy Bay, Hanover on Sunday.
A woman is the third gunshot victim.
Reports are that around 5:20 pm, the three were among other family members at the house when gunmen approached and opened fire. The gunmen then fled.
The police were called, and, on their arrival, the three individuals were seen suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were assisted to the hospital, where they were treated and admitted in serious but stable conditions.
A motive has not been established for the gun attack.
