A post-mortem examination has revealed that nine-year-old Esher Primary student Nikita Noel was sexually assaulted and then strangled by her killer(s).
The examination was done on Friday.
Police investigators are now moving to question a man held in police custody.
Little Nikita’s body was found in bushes in her community of Kew District, Hanover on Wednesday night, February 1.
She was coming home from school at the time of the incident.
The man, said to be a close friend of her mother, was detained by the police shortly after the gruesome discovery.
