A farmer was shot and killed by unknown assailants in Chudleigh, Manchester on Monday night.
He has been identified as 51-year-old Anthony Williams of Chudleigh.
A police report said Williams walking home in his community about 11:30 pm, when he was pounced upon by gunmen who shot him.
The wounded man was assisted to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigations are ongoing.
