Gunmen disrupted the order brought on by the recently imposed state of emergency (SOE) in St James on Sunday, when a five-year-old child and a man were murdered by gunmen.
The incident occurred in the John’s Hall community in the parish.
Those killed have not been identified.
According to reports, sometime on Sunday afternoon, the man was seated in a car parked in the area shortly after attending a funeral, when he was pounced upon by armed men.
They later opened gunfire, hitting the man, the child and another person.
The man and the child succumbed to their injuries, while the other person was hospitalised.
