The police have named 23-year-old Rushane Barnett, otherwise called ‘Jett’ or ‘Nick’, as a person of interest in the murder of a mother and her four children in Coco Piece, Chapelton in Clarendon.
The bodies were discovered early this morning.
That’s according to a statement from the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU).
The woman, said to be in her 30s, and her children – three girls and a one-year-old boy – were found with stab wounds and their throats slashed.
According to the police, “Barrett is said to frequent Coco Piece in Clarendon, Wilson Run in Trelawny, and Papine in St Andrew.”
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Rushane Barnett is asked to contact the May Pen Criminal Investigations Branch at 876-832-2077, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
Barnett is asked to turn himself in to the police immediately.
