A confrontation between two men in Golden River, St Catherine resulted in bloodshed and tragedy on Saturday.
The dead man has been identified as 20-old Tajay Anderson, otherwise called ‘Devil’, from Above Rocks, St Catherine.
His attacker is under police guard at hospital, as he also received injuries during the confrontation.
A release from the police’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), said that, about 3:30 am, Anderson was involved in a dispute with another man, when it is alleged that Anderson used a sharp object to chop the other man multiple times.
The man retaliated by using a knife to stab Anderson multiple times.
The police were summoned and both men were taken to hospital, where Anderson was pronounced dead and the other man admitted under police guard.
Investigations are ongoing.
